Meet Your Stylist

Jo Russell

After finishing my GCSE's I went to college in Islington to study A levels, but soon realised that wasn't for me!

I decided to look for an apprenticeship in hairdressing and got a job at Mahogany in Mayfair. I trained for three years in cutting and colour and qualified as a stylist in 1999. I worked there for another five years during which time I was lucky enough to do lots of show and seminar work in the UK, Europe and Australia. In 2004 I took a career break to go travelling and when I returned in 2005, I decided to concentrate on barbering. I got a job at Edward Holland in the City and that's where I met Debbie.

I left to have my first child, Gracie, in 2006 but sadly she died when she was 18 months of Meningitis. I was heart broken but returned to work in the barbers. To our joy I left work in 2009 to have our second child, Indie. She is 1 now and trying to walk, keeping myself and her dad Andy on our toes !

Debbie invited me in October 2009 to work with her for Tots Crops and I couldn't say no to such an amazingly suitable job. I've been working at various different nurseries ever since and I've never had job satisfaction like I have now!
